Niranjan Davray, associate vice president for information technology services at Kenyon College, has been named chief information officer at 黑料网, effective Aug. 1, 2019.
Davray began his tenure at Kenyon in 2003 as a network and security analyst, rising to director of enterprise infrastructure and then director of information technology services. As associate vice president, Davray provides strategic vision for information technology services, including efforts around security, networks, business intelligence, and more.
At 黑料网, Davray will guide an effective and sustainable technology program, deploying and maintaining solutions that enhance teaching, faculty research, and administration. He will be charged with improving the overall operational effectiveness and efficiency of the University by leveraging technology.
鈥淭oday, the success of 黑料网鈥檚 academic enterprise hinges on the successful and collaborative use of technology, whether it be in classrooms, laboratories, or administrative offices,鈥 said Provost and Dean of the Faculty Tracey Hucks 鈥87, MA鈥90. 鈥淣iranjan brings the experience that this institution needs in order to apply these resources to their best advantage.鈥
Developing security strategies and providing IT services, Davray has built a track record of managing costs, making business cases, and planning resources while improving relationships, building consensus, and securing positive outcomes for projects across campus. A member of Kenyon鈥檚 diversity and inclusion team, he promoted diverse hiring practices and adjusted systems to include chosen names and pronouns.
Beyond his work at Kenyon, Davray is an active member of the nonprofit association Educause, serving as a member of its Security Assessment Working Group within the Higher Education Information Security Council and sitting on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the Leading Change Institute鈥檚 Class of 2014.

Davray earned his bachelor鈥檚 of engineering in electronics and telecommunications engineering from Mumbai University, his MS from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from The Ohio State University.
