Former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile and former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele kicked off ºÚÁÏÍø’s Road to the White House series on Sept. 4.

ºÚÁÏÍø officially marked the first repatriation for Ancestral remains removed from what is now the state of Maryland through the federal Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).

ºÚÁÏÍø and the Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College have formed a new institutional partnership, giving ºÚÁÏÍø students access to the prestigious Tuck Business Bridge Program. 

ºÚÁÏÍø’s academic community will come together for moments of learning and civic engagement this month during The Road to the White House: ºÚÁÏÍø’s 2024 Election Series, presented by the Office of the President and the Lampert Institute for Civic and Global Affairs.

ºÚÁÏÍø is one of 80 colleges and universities selected this month as a 2024–25 FirstGen Forward Network member.

Caroline (Carrie) Keating, professor of psychological and brain sciences, has been selected as the 2024 recipient of the Jerome Balmuth Award for Teaching.

Jonathan Eaton ’24 of Bethel, Conn., is the recipient of the ºÚÁÏÍø Alumni Corporation 1819 Award.

Author Yossi Klein Halevi joined the ºÚÁÏÍø community live via Zoom from Jerusalem to discuss the current conflict between Hamas and Israel in light of recent developments.

Abigail L. Palko, PhD, director of the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women’s Center at the University of Virginia, has been named the inaugural director of the Residential Commons program at ºÚÁÏÍø.

Brown and Hancock Residential Commons at ºÚÁÏÍø will both welcome new co-directors in the 2023–24 academic year.
