Trustee emeritus Robert Fox ’59, GP’23,’25 has given $10 million to build Fox Hall at ºÚÁÏÍø, the first residence hall of the University’s fifth Residential Commons. The gift was acknowledged by the Board of Trustees during its fall meeting, Sept. 30–Oct. 1.

Renee Madison, director of human resources for the City of Indianapolis and Marion County, Ind., has been named vice president for equity and inclusion at ºÚÁÏÍø.

ºÚÁÏÍø has announced fall semester plans that reduce COVID-related restrictions while keeping a close eye on infection data and the rapid spread of the delta variant.

ºÚÁÏÍø is closing the books on a record-setting 2020–21 fundraising year, thanks to the generosity of ºÚÁÏÍø alumni and other supporters.

Joseph Hernon, a military veteran, and firefighter with 10 years of emergency management experience will lead ºÚÁÏÍø’s emergency management operations after a nationwide search to fill the vacant role of associate vice president for campus safety, emergency management, and environmental health and safety. 

Members of the ºÚÁÏÍø classes of 2022–25 will now benefit from an additional expansion of the University’s no-loan initiative under the ºÚÁÏÍø Commitment.

On June 1, ºÚÁÏÍø announced the ºÚÁÏÍø Commitment: An Initiative in Access and Affordability.
