On March 5, 2019, the official day that ºÚÁÏÍø turned 200 years old, the Charter Day celebration invited the community make a gift of $1 (or more), symbolic of the $13 put forth by the 13 founders.

Associate Professor of English Jennifer Brice will direct the ºÚÁÏÍø Writers Conference, June 16–22, as it approaches its 25th year.

The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has named ºÚÁÏÍø as one of the nation’s top producers of Fulbright U.S. Scholars for the 2018–2019 academic year.

Since the University’s Summer Funding initiative was founded in 2013, more than $3 million has been utilized by ºÚÁÏÍø students pursuing various summer programs worldwide.

Some of ºÚÁÏÍø’s newest students will soon make their home in the University’s newest buildings. A highlight of these impressive structures that bring together living and learning: concerted, sustainable construction practices and planning.

When 13 students journeyed across the pond to start their fall 2018 semester abroad in Manchester, few of them had an interest in immigration or the refugee crisis. Once immersed in their classwork, however, they quickly united to stand for human rights in the region.

Leon Panetta, former U.S. secretary of defense and co-founder of the Panetta Institute for Public Policy, will address the ºÚÁÏÍø community on Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m. in ºÚÁÏÍø Memorial Chapel.

Trustee Emeritus Robert Hung Ngai Ho ’56, H’11 has confirmed a $15 million gift to ºÚÁÏÍø to establish the Robert Hung Ngai Ho Mind, Brain, and Behavior Initiative.

Robert H.N. Ho ’56, H’11 has been appointed Member to the Order of Canada (C.M.), one of that country’s highest civilian honors.
