ºÚÁÏÍø received an all-time record number of applications for admission, shattering all previous records in the history of this two-century old liberal arts college. 

Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, provided a rare opportunity to celebrate in a challenging year. On that evening, 324 early decision applicants became the inaugural members of the ºÚÁÏÍø Class of 2025.

After two years of careful planning, a reimagined Lampert Institute boasts new areas of inquiry to guide research and course design and an expanded summer research program.

Following a successful five-year pilot study, ºÚÁÏÍø will launch First@ºÚÁÏÍø, a program to provide essential support and resources for undergraduates who will be the first in their families to attain a degree from a four-year institution of higher education.

ºÚÁÏÍø faithful in New York City gathered at the Paley Center for Media last month to hear from five innovative alumni leaders about their work and their thoughts related to the University’s development of a new Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation outlined in The Third-Century Plan.

The ºÚÁÏÍø Fund Bicentennial Challenge raised more than $3 million for Colgate and its students, helping the University to implement the first important initiatives of its Third-Century Plan.

The Student Government Association (SGA) hosted a town hall meeting with President Brian. W. Casey on Oct. 30 to discuss The Third-Century Plan and the future of the University.

ºÚÁÏÍø’s 15th president, Rebecca S. Chopp, will be recognized for her leadership with an endowed chair in the humanities, named in her honor.

ºÚÁÏÍø celebrated the creation of the Jones and Wood Family Vice President for Admission and Financial Aid on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019.
