Looking back on another successful fiscal year, the campus community is honoring the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends. Overall giving to ºÚÁÏÍø rose nearly 10 percent to $35.1 million between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018.

On September 22 at 8 p.m., the legendary ensemble Earth, Wind & Fire will appear in Sanford Field House for a concert honoring ºÚÁÏÍø at 200 Years.

Courtney L. Young, head librarian and professor of women’s studies at Penn State University–Allegheny, has been named university librarian at ºÚÁÏÍø and will take up her duties on July 1.

Professors Chris Vecsey and Lourdes Rojas-Paiewonsky will share the 2018 Jerome Balmuth Award for Teaching and Student Engagement.

In a letter to the campus community, President Brian W. Casey announced that Vice President and Director of Athletics Victoria Chun ’91, MA’94 has been named director of athletics at Yale University, effective July 1, 2018.

Maria del Carmen Flores-Mills, J.D., the senior associate dean of the college at Franklin & Marshall College and former associate dean at Princeton University, has been named as the dean of students at ºÚÁÏÍø, effective June 4, 2018.

It was a perfect weekend to come home. ºÚÁÏÍø Homecoming 2017 attracted students, faculty, alumni, parents, and friends en masse, September 8–9. Men’s soccer started the festivities off right, taking down Oregon State 1–0. It was the team’s first victory over a Pac-12 challenger.
