This new offering is designed to cover devices purchased directly from EE as well as those acquired from other retailers, demonstrating a commitment to customer-centric solutions in today's tech-driven world.
This comprehensive insurance plan goes beyond basic coverage, including protection against loss, theft, accidental damage, an extended warranty, worldwide coverage, and repairs approved by manufacturers for an unlimited number of eligible devices. The introduction of this service comes at a crucial time, as research indicates that around 25% of the UK population has had to replace a device in the past year alone, with 64% expressing a desire for a single, straightforward policy that encompasses a majority of their technological gadgets.
The Pinnacle of Device Protection and Flexibility
Developed in collaboration with Chubb, a leading insurer, EE's Multi Tech Cover offers unparalleled convenience and straightforward protection without locking customers into long-term financial obligations. Available on a flexible monthly basis, this policy grants users complete control over their coverage.
Customers have the option to select from two tiers of coverage, both easily accessible via the EE app or website:
- Damage Cover: This includes accidental damage, an extended warranty, global protection, and manufacturer-approved repairs or replacements. Additionally, this plan covers in-box accessories provided by the manufacturer as part of a device claim.
- Full Cover: This tier encompasses all the benefits found in Damage Cover while also providing protection against loss and theft.
Coverage for Everyday Technology
The Multi Tech Cover policy protects a wide array of everyday devices, whether they were bought new or refurbished from EE or third-party vendors. Covered items include:
- Smartphones, tablets, laptops, headphones, smartwatches, and e-readers
- Home security devices like video doorbells and fitness trackers
- Gaming consoles, controllers, and VR headsets (for damage-only claims)
Importantly, even if a device falls outside its manufacturer warranty period, EE continues to offer breakdown coverage as long as the device is under five years old when the policy is active.

Pricing & Claims Information
Multi Tech Cover is available through either of two policies on a month-to-month plan:
- Damage Cover: Priced at £15.99 per month
- Full Cover: Offered at £22.99 per month
Policyholders with Damage Cover can file up to five claims within a 12-month period. Full Cover extends this to lost or stolen devices, allowing a maximum of five claims during the same timeframe, of which up to three can be for loss or theft. Notably, customers do not need to register each device to initiate a claim, making Multi Tech Cover one of the most extensive protection services offered by any UK provider.
Building on the success of EE's existing Single Tech Cover, which permits unlimited claims for damage and allows for two claims related to loss or theft within a year, Multi Tech Cover provides even greater flexibility as it remains in effect until the customer decides to cancel.
Customers can submit claims whenever necessary by logging into My EE online or utilizing the EE App, ensuring assistance is always readily available.
