COLGATE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES TOP GRADUATES IN CLASS OF 2002

Hamilton, NY — Stentor Danielson is valedictorian, and Rachel Nacht is salutatorian of the ºÚÁÏÍø graduating class of 2002. ºÚÁÏÍø’s commencement ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19.

Danielson, who is from Palmerton, Pa., majored in geography and sociology/anthropology and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He will graduate summa cum laude with high honors in geography and with honors in sociology/anthropology. Nacht, of Englishtown, N.J., majored in Japanese and French, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and will graduate summa cum laude.

ºÚÁÏÍø Interim President Jane Pinchin will award 704 bachelor’s degrees during ºÚÁÏÍø’s 181st commencement exercises on Sunday afternoon. Emmy award-winning journalist Charlie Rose will deliver the address during the 1:30 ceremony adjacent to Taylor Lake (in Sanford Field House in case of rain). Rose also will receive an honorary doctor of letters degree from ºÚÁÏÍø.
