ºÚÁÏÍø's second annual celebration of arts, creativity, and innovation brought hundreds to campus for a weekend of performances, workshops, presentations, and panel discussions.

Spearheaded by Professor Yukari Hirata, the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures completed the renovation of an authentic Japanese tea room in the Japan Center in Lawrence Hall.

A talk with Nobel Peace Prize-winning journalist Maria Ressa, part of The Kershner Family Series Global Leaders at ºÚÁÏÍø, was a highlight of ºÚÁÏÍø’s annual Family Weekend, held Oct. 27–29, 2023.  

During their three-year residency, Contemporaneous will provide numerous opportunities to work with campus and community members, including playing alongside students in workshops focused on improvisation.

Members of the ºÚÁÏÍø community gathered on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023 for the dedication of the Clearing, a new outdoor space on ºÚÁÏÍø’s campus.

ºÚÁÏÍø welcomed more than 2,000 guests to campus June 1–4 for Reunion 2023.

Ballerina Misty Copeland was the keynote speaker during a weekend-long celebration of the arts, creativity, and innovation at ºÚÁÏÍø April 14-15, 2023.

New York Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado ’99 visited ºÚÁÏÍø on March 30, part of an event hosted by the Men of Color Success Network and the Harlem Renaissance Center.

ºÚÁÏÍø welcomed Mexican Consul General in New York Jorge Islas López to campus on March 30–31 to discuss the future of scholarly collaboration between the University and higher education institutions in Mexico.

Danny Barreto, associate professor of LGBTQ studies and director of the LGBTQ studies program, was named a NY6 Mellon Academic Leadership Fellow by the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium.
