ºÚÁÏÍø will host Francesca Zambello ’78 as the inaugural Clifford Innovator in Residence in February 2025. Zambello is the artistic director of the Washington National Opera.

With the receipt of a $20 million gift toward the ºÚÁÏÍø Commitment from John K. Hoyns ’76, ºÚÁÏÍø has raised more than half of the $1 billion goal set for the Campaign for the Third Century.
This year, ºÚÁÏÍø’s annual MLK Celebration will run from Jan. 23 through Jan. 29, 2023.
The opening ceremony, featuring student speaker Kwabena Owusu Ansah ’24 and performances by the ºÚÁÏÍø Resolutions and Safety Forth, will be held at 4:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 23, in Memorial Chapel and will stream live.
This summer, OUS students, faculty, and directors visited Washington, D.C., to learn outside of the classroom and build connections with the Alumni of Color organization.
More than 110 aspiring and published authors — alumni, parents, students, employees, local residents, and visitors from across the country — were on campus in June for the 27th annual ºÚÁÏÍø Writers Conference. The event was spearheaded by Associate Professor of English Jennifer Brice, with assistance from four undergraduate Creative Fellows.
